ever get in to a fight with something (it's almost always either computers or jeeps, for me), and come up with such an elegant solution with which you win, that afterwards, it's hard to want to do anything else?

i suspect i have a serious problem with creative work in that it's addicting. i really have no desire to go and do the boring (though still quite important) things which are sitting on a list in front of me, simply because i know i won't derive the pleasure from their completion that i just got from doing something else.

on an opposite note, i have some hope that things in my life will shortly be stabilizing (moving, working, etc...), and with that in mind, i should be able to catch up on my backlog of emails by the end of the week (so hold your breath).
