photo tip
i think i can safely call myself a photographer.with that in mind, here's a tip about how the casual observer can consider photos, in a way that _won't_ piss of every photographer within earshot:
learn to tell the difference between ``i have never seen anything like this before'' and ``this was well-shot''.
they might be equally important things, or you might weigh one more than the other. that's fine. just be aware of which one you're referring to, when talking about photos.
(i realize that this might sound odd coming from someone who's primary photographic background has been more documentary-type work, but suffice it to say that it is not where my heart lies)
