longstanding complaint...
...against gentoo, for merging the ``vi'' package with ``vim''.this became an issue, today, because to upgrade to modular xorg, as per the instructions on the gentoo page, you first remove the old installation, then build the new one.
except gentoo has a default use flag for ``vim-with-x'', which breaks whenever you remove the old xorg libraries.
lesson for anyone else doing this: remove that use flag. or just install vi, yourself. lazy vim users.

alot of your blogs sound like a different language to me... lol
they probably are.
a lot of computer stuff doesn't really translate in to plain english, in any meaningful way.
sadly, this in turn, means that my blog posts are mostly useless to most people....
but mostly hilarious to some.
